It is a poor idea to lie to yourself.

Honestly, I have sent half an hours trying to understand why we do it. Why parents lie to their kids about something. Why partners lie about something he or she didn’t like. Why employers lie about the reason he/she was later at work. Customer service lies about the warranty of a product. Politicians lie during their political campaigns.

Why do we lie to ourselves? What causes this human dishonest? Is it a temptation or just intentional. Are we doing it when we want something from somebody or we don’t want to punish for something. Can it be because we are afraid we will hurt someone’s feeling or are we doing it to protect someone or something?

C’mon is plain stupid to fool ourselves. The truth is lies will always come back to hurt us soon or later. We might not feel the immediate pains the moment we do it but the true is it hurt our world and life of those around us. It hurts our love ones and destroys the world we plan to build for better tomorrow.
