Try a cliche

According to Wikipedia cliche is an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect, rendering it a stereotype, especially when at some earlier time it was consider meaningful or novel. The term is frequently used in modern culture for an action or idea which is expected or predictable, based on a prior event. Cliches are not always false or inaccurate. Cliches may or may not be true.

Based on the meaning, we on the daily basis try cliches. We use it in many of our discussions and in our writing. Here is the list of most common used cliches and its meaning I found interesting.

"Misery loves company" - The sad people expect others to join their sorrow.

"Love is blind" - Love makes us oblivious to the faults of the object of love.

"There’s no such thing as a free lunch" - In life everything has a price.

"Robbing Peter to pay Paul" - Take money from one person to pay another person.

"As good as gold" - The person behave very well.

"Foot loose and fancy free" - This denotes being free of responsibilities.

"Laughter is the best medicine" - This suggests that laughter helps cure illnesses.

To me cliche deliver so much in our daily lives, but in the other hand mean nothing. We have circle around it as they were born with us.
