The sound of one hand clapping

It was Sunday morning 11:45 AM on 04/12/2010, Mr. Dennis Igboanugo was called upon by His Lord’s sheep Bishop Justin Nwokeji, Jr., the Set man of Finger of God Ministries Int.to come and testify what the Lord has done for him. With tears of joy and praises from his month he come onto the stage and tells the story of one hand clapping.

At first the congregation looked confuse and lost over what make this grown man cry. Some who know half the story almost joined him (cry) and others who come to seek God’s face and his mercy were cut in the middle of this earthly drama.

It started around 1999(over 10 years ago) he said, “I married like every other young man of my age and we want a child like any other married couple. In the middle of two and three years as married couple no answer to our dream. No child to name our already list and choose names”. We face choice of visiting specialist or God. We choose hospital. Hospitals after hospitals doctors after doctors no answer found. We decide to call on the name of the most-high God and his son- Jesus Christ but on hearing of the name half the church stoop up and start screaming.

Next to him were his wife and a child, the man point at the child and said this is the answer of our cry to God and answer of 10 year of childless and sleepless night. The church erupted into a grotesque clapping. The atmosphere instantly becomes min-heaven with sound of claps and excitement. The crowds stand up some run to the pulpit, some throwing money at him and some speechless. He looked at me who was beside him with sound of my hand clapping near his ears and he looked up at heaven, where he found the only one sound he could hear, the invisible sound that matters at that moment. The sound of one hand that clap when he need a sound-the sound of hand of God.
